“What do you think will happen now?” Amanda asked as they lay together. They had pulled up the sheet to cover themselves, but they remained naked, continuing to explore each other’s bodies as they cuddled. For a long time they lay in silence, relishing what they had done together and each secretly planning for the next round. The afternoon sun shone through the French doors. They would have to go downstairs for dinner eventually, but for the moment, they could truly relax.

Adam turned to her and smiled. “If the other members of Blue Squad heard any of the screams, they probably think we’re in here murdering each other.”

“At least they figured it out in time before they came barging in with us. That might have been awkward.” Amanda’s cheeks flushed at the thought.

“If anything, they would have been jealous,” the soldier said, cupping one of her breasts in his hand and kissing the nipple gently. “They can’t all be lucky enough to land the gorgeous Ms. Amanda Conrad, Queen of the Cyborgs.”

She laughed, and it was a beautiful sound. She sobered quickly though as she thought about the other soldiers. “I hope they can be as lucky as us. Will other women see them as humans who deserve love? And great sex?”

Adam rolled over so that he was looking down at her, hovering over his woman. “That’s definitely a selling point,” he said. “But for now, I want to keep enjoying what I have. I love you.”

Amanda put her arms around Adam and pulled him close. As her eyes fluttered shut, she felt herself start to smile. She loved being with a cyborg.
